WHAT IS A HOME INSPECTION?
A Home
Inspection is a visual inspection of the home. It includes the physical
structure, as well as the mechanical and electrical systems of the home.
The inspection will describe all areas, and components, that were inspected
and outline any problems that were detected during the inspection. Of
course there are always limitations to what the home inspector can do, and
these will be stated on the Home Inspection Report.
Most Home
Inspections are done during the purchasing process of the home, and we
encourage the home buyer to be present during the inspection. With the home
buyer present during the inspection we find that it is a good way for the
home buyer to learn about their new home, and view any problem areas that
may be discovered during the inspection.
Doing a
Home Inspection by the seller prior to listing the home is a good way to
point out any problem areas, so the seller can have these items corrected
prior to listing the home. This will not only save the buyer time and
money, but will also make the home more attractive to potential buyers.
All
Points Home Inspections will do our best to insure we
comply with the standards set by the South Carolina Residential Building
Commission “Standards of Practice”.
